Frequently Asked Questions!

Q: Will transportation be provided?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot arrange transportation for all 100 of our guests to and from the wedding location. There are many wonderful hotels within a five minute distance from the museum (see the accommodations page). Although we can’t afford to provide parking for all of our guests, we highly recommend carpooling to allow for optimal efficiency. If you need any assistance gathering together a carpool, please contact us.

Q: Will guests pay for parking or is it free?
A: The museum is located adjacent to Lot 7. There are at least 700 parking spots. Unfortunately, the fee is $12/car for the evening. Unfortunately there aren’t any discounts on parking. There is plenty of self-parking in the city for those who want to avoid the parking fees (we know we will!).

Q: How many restrooms are there and will there be some on the 3rd floor for those in a wheelchair?
A: The museum has one men’s restroom and one woman’s restroom with at least 4-5 stalls. These restrooms do require walking up or down stairs. If any guests need assistance, the museum has handicapped accessible restrooms on the first floor.

Q: Is there wheelchair access/an elevator to get to the third floor?
A: Yes, there is an elevator.

Q: Will there be simultaneous events elsewhere in the facility?
A: Nope, it’ll just be us party people!

Q: What should guests wear to the wedding?
A: Semi-formal to formal attire. But you know we’ll still love you if you decide to wear a Hawaiian print shirt with ripped up jeans.

Q: Can kids come to the festivities?
A: As much as we love children and wish that we could invite all of them, we didn’t think it was the best idea to have children running around a museum that has super breakable artifacts in it. We’re very sorry for any inconvenience. If you need any help finding a babysitter or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Q: Open bar, cash bar, or no bar? What’s the story?
A: Open bar.

Q: What’s the grub situation?
A: Catered hors d'oeuvres will be made available during the cocktail hour starting at 5:30 P.M. A full dinner will be served following the ceremony, at approximately 7:00 P.M. There will be entrees that will please both meat lovers and vegetarians. Closer to the event we’ll post the full menu on our website. As we said above, there will be a full-service open bar available with liquor, wine, beer and champagne. Lemonade, tea, water and coffee will be available as well as mocktails for the kids.

Q: How long will it take to get from the ceremony to the reception?
A: No time at all! Both events are on the same floor of the museum.

Q: Will we have to wait for the reception to start and wait in a lobby or will a cocktail hour be provided while the bride & groom are getting their pictures done?
A: There’s nothing worse than being bored while the couple says cheese for a half hour. Guests will be encouraged to schmooze and try the yummy selection of hors d’oeuvres.

Q: Will there be dancing?
A: Of course! Neither of us have a beat of rhythm, but that won't stop us from making fools of ourselves.

Q: Do you have a registry?
A: For those of you who wish to give a gift, please feel free to find inspiration at our registries page on the left-hand side of our website.

Q: Are we allowed to bring guests?
A: For our unattached friends and family, we’ve made sure to allow enough space for you to bring a guest. We want you to have an enjoyable time, and if that means bringing a date, more power to you! If you’d like to fly solo, that’s great too! We just want our guests to have a wonderful evening. Please, only one guest per invitation. Many invitations will be addressed to the specific couple, family or individual. If we have room for your guest, the correspondence will be addressed to “Your Name + Guest.” Thanks for your cooperation!

Q: Will the ceremony religious?
A: Religious? No. Spiritual? Yes.
