Our Story
In the beginning, there was an email from a cheeky 14-year-old girl called Natalie.
How it all began...
Shaohen was a youth supervisor at their former church at that time, and Natalie was placed under his care. Soon, he began to disciple her, and the friendship between them grew stronger.
However, just as they became close friends, Shaohen had to leave to Australia for a year-long study program. But thanks to the modern technology also known as internet, they actually grew closer despite being far apart.
But some good things have to end. When Shaohen returned to Malaysia, a rift came between the both of them, that resulted in them not speaking to each other for half a year. Unknown to the both of them, they are each yearning to close the gap, but are too proud to admit it.
Thank God for leaders who worked hard to bring them both back together, Shaohen and Nat soon reconciled, and the rest, they say, is history.
And yes, Shaohen is Nat's first boyfriend, and Nat is Shaohen's first girlfriend.
Then on one fateful day, 4th August 2007, Shaohen took Nat out on a similarly normal dinner, bringing a similarly normal bag. During a similarly normal conversation, he uttered the words that made the whole night abnormal - I mean, special.
And so now, we're planning our wedding together, counting down to the big day when we'll start our life journey as one.
