Proposal
I always dreamed of being proposed to and it being a true surprised... But I never thought it would actually happen. Peter was able to give me a life long memory. He proposed to in front of my family and an entire restaurant full of people back in April 0f 2007. He gathered some family & friends together at our favorite restaurant TGIF. Since this is our absolute favorite place to eat I never suspected a thing when he said we should go out to eat. When we arrived I was a little annoyed because his phone was ringing every minute. I then felt something was wrong when we got there because there was such a long line... but Peter said something to the women at the door and we walked right in. As I began to ask him how we got in so fast... I caught a glimpse of friends and family at a table. I immediately stopped & my father was coming towards me. I began to cry and Peter immediately dropped to one Knee and asked me to marry him... It happened so fast and I was so nervous. Ofcourse I said yes… and here we are today.
How it started....
I moved to New Jersey not knowing where or what I would be doing in the years to come. Everything is always for a reason and I now understand that statement more than ever. Me and Peter met in 2004 at Peter's job which was my sons school at the time. It was mid October when we first laid eyes on each other(hence, our wedding date :). We would never speak ... just smile and stare. At the end of Oct Peter finally spoke and asked that I call him. I hesitated and didn’t call that weekend. Sure enough Monday morning he approached me and wanted to know what happened. I was happy to see he was looking for my call so I decided to call that afternoon. That following weekend we went on our first date dancing to South City Grill and it was a night I will always remember. We danced all night, which surprised me because I would never dance much with anyone. There was something about our personalities that clicked and I was so comfortable with Peter. Almost a month later I invited Peter to my family’s house in Longisand for Thanksgiving dinner. I fell in love that day... I knew he was right for me. After dinner Peter asked me if we were going to make it official that we were a couple... and of course I said Yes!
Our Lives
I am a Property Manager Assistant for one of the nations leading Property Management groups DDR. I enjoy my work and pursuing certification at the moment to become a Property Manager for residential properties as well as a Real Estate Sales agent. With Peter by my side I am more motivated than ever before. He always reminds me that I am able to do whatever I put my mind to. He keeps me going and never lets me feel I am not able t complete anything. He fully completes me :)!
Peter received a boilers license with the board of education 8 years ago and has been working for the Jersey City Board of Education NJ for over 10 years now. He is always working hard to pursue other life long goals. We are both big dreamers but our dreams we believe will one day become reality with Strive & Motivation. We motivate each other and keep dreams alive.
The most important thing in are our kids. We both have a child....Marcus & Austin. The most important thing in our lives has been to make our kids happy and give them the best we can possible. These last couple of years has been the best years of my life. Our boys are getting older and are excited about our wedding and making this family everlasting!
