Our Story
How We Met
Nick and I met in 9th grade in Mrs. Kurz's science class. We became friends quickly. I moved to California homecoming night of 10th grade. We both took the move pretty hard but we managed to stay friends across the miles.
Over the years we continued to talk over the phone and through e-mail & letters. I came to visit a few times. The picture is from summer of 2001 when I went to Virginia to vistit!
Memorial day weekend of 2004 I went to Washington DC with my mom. Nick, Amie, and Sam met me there. Nick and I always had a connection & that weekend things clicked & everything fell into place from there! We knew that we were meant to be together.
That August I moved back to Virginia. He flew to CA and we drove across the USA together. In October we started dating and then in June 2005 we bought a home together!
Our Engagement
August 26th, 2006 Nick took me for a surprise horseback ride for my "birthday" We had a great time!
About an hour into the ride we stopped for a romantic picnic with some wine & cheese. Perfect timing for the sunset, he pulled out this amazing scrapbook with tons of pictures of special moments.
The last page was a picture of him in the very spot we were in, holding my ring with "Will you marry me" on the page!! He asked me to marry him! It was so amazing! He is the best man ever! I couldn’t ask for more! I love you sweetie!
