Dear lord where did the time go? I've been slowly plugging along on thank-you cards and misc. details until all of a sudden it's 2 weeks till the wedding and I'm having a panic attack! Done in the last couple of days: tux measurements/ordering, final dress fitting, checked on almost all non-RSVP senders, confirmed that everything I want to do with the venue is in fact OK, sent the officiant a list of the memorials, sent one of my readings to one of my readers, and decided that the rehearsal dinn...

So my dress and both bridesmaids dresses came in on Friday. That was almost 2 weeks earlier than I'd expected, and a week earlier than I'd even dared to hope! After much nervousness and hand-wringing I'm happy to report that they're all perfect. They are beautiful quality, great color, and frankly...gorgeous. There is some tailoring to be done, but I don't think we could have done better going to a brick-n-mortar store. Now I can go get my shoes dyed, pick out the tux color, and generally finaliz...

I'll have the mail-in RSVP cards printed today and start stuffing those envelopes this weekend.I think we've FINALLY settled on a menu. Gerald and I will be putting in our rental equipment reservation (I hope) this week for the kitchen/serving supplies we'll need.I've received my 275' of 6" tulle for bows and misc decorations, and the...

I do believe I've gotten every address from every parent, grandparent, cousin, and interested aunt I've never heard of/from. Anyone who hasn't gotten their card by next week needs to please email me or submit a message through the Contact Us page to let me know...it means someone who was responsible for collecting addresses for your side of the family dropped the ball! :)I'm excited though, one more task to mark off the list!

Contrary to reports from many brides out there, this process seems to be working out nicely for "us" time. We're going over the days bridal haul (invitation books, favor ideas, and registry stuff that comes in the mail daily now) together every night and either making or re-affirming decisions for the ceremony and reception. We're having fun with it! While his attention to the details is less than mine ("engraved napkins? why?"), his enthusiasm seems to be building and I'm seeing him be just as ...
