Progress report...
I've gotten the invitations in, printed the mailing labels, and started stuffing the envelopes for my online RSVP people (those I know are active internet people). I'll have the mail-in RSVP cards printed today and start stuffing those envelopes this weekend.
I think we've FINALLY settled on a menu. Gerald and I will be putting in our rental equipment reservation (I hope) this week for the kitchen/serving supplies we'll need.
I've received my 275' of 6" tulle for bows and misc decorations, and the place card holders for the buffet display. Traci has found us a chocolate fountain, and I ordered a cheese log assortment, some Creme de Menthe petit fours, chocolate covered toffee and other stuff from Figis to be delivered just before the wedding.
Oh yes...the cake. I think it's finally under control. I got a call back yesterday from a lady who came highly recommended. She's free for my date and very excited that I want something pretty basic. Now to order the decorations to spice up that basic cake!
I've been buying gifts like a mad fiend for all the lovely people helping with the wedding, throwing my shower, and generally putting up with the madness that is me on a mission. I can't wait to give them away!
There's not much left to be done until I have a clue on headcount. The next big thing is for the dresses to arrive so we can match tux colors and start buying ribbon and colored stuff for decorations. I so hate waiting.
