Stefanie & John

Details, Details, Details

Ok, so first off I'm just apologizing for the lack of writing. After finishing school and passing my boards, I've been on a mad search for a job. I've becom rather frustrated with the whole job search thing so I haven't been up for much writing. Especially since every spare moment I had (which is quite a bit) was spent filling out applications. Which just to vent about that for a minute...WHY do they make you fill out an application with all the same info that's on your resume only to have you attach the resume at the end anyways! I just don't get it. Anyways...you know I'll keep you all posted in the that department, but now on to the fun stuff.

Since I last updated everyone, I've really started to deal with the details of the wedding. This includes getting the flower girl dresses, the bridesmaid dresses, picking out ceremony music, getting our wedding invitations, and setting up accomadations for everyone! All of the dresses look great, they are just what I imagined. So I am very pleased with that. Oddly enough, getting the bridesmaid dresses made things very real to John that we're getting married. His sister Lisa tried her dress on for us and I could just tell by the look on John's face that it had hit him at that moment. Although I haven't seen Emma or Kendall in their dresses, they look great on the hanger and Lisa said they will fit them nicely by March. Plus...have you seen how cute those two girls are; they could wear garbage bags and look adoreable!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to meet with our ceremony musicians. Beforehand, I sat and listened to tons of different music options to try and figure out what I wanted to play during the ceremony. I wanted traditional but not to predictable. Doing this was something that made everything very real to me. Every time I would sit down at the computer to listen to the music I would get goose bumps as I envisioned everything. In the end, I had decided on everything before I even got to the meeting, which made that go real smoothly. The owner told me I was one of the most organized brides she'd ever met! :) Not to boast or anything.

Another exciting thing that happend was that we got our invitations. They look amazing; I absolutely love them! Unfortunately they all still have to be assembled, stuffed, stamped, and addressed. Which I thought...oh I've got plenty of time, but with Thanksgiving next week I realize that mid-January is just around the corner. So hopefully I'll get that started soon. I was going to post a pic of one, but I then decided, I'd rather surprise everyone in the mail.

The final details we've settled since my last post, was setting up the hotel accomadations. John was off on Monday so we took advantage of the day and went to check out some rooms. So, make sure to check our Accommodations link soon for all the info you'll need for the night of the wedding. Once I get all the details from the hotel, I'll make sure to post it.

That's about all for now; I'm sure you're tired of reading about all this anyway. It got a little long; which should teach me my lesson about trying to sum up a month in one post. Hope everyone enjoys thier weekend and Thanksgiving. We're off to yet another wedding Friday; the final one before ours! Maybe I'll get a good picture of us to post...you'd be amazed at how long my hair is getting for those of you who haven't seen me! ;-)
