The following family and friends have agreed to be a special part of our wedding day. We are so thrilled that they said yes. And, we are even more grateful that our lives are blessed with such wonderful people! We look forward to having each of them join us for our special day.
(As told by the Bride...) Michell and I have been friends for quite some time... going on 7 years now. (Thanks Patti!) We've had lots of good times together (cheesy poofs, Rock Boat, concerts, ice cream trips, shopping, Frankenmuth, Oval Opus). Over the years, our friendship has changed, as most friendships do with life's changes. But, I'm extremely happy to be able to call her one of my closest and most cherished friends. (We have no choice -- we know too much about each other!)
Michell is a fun-loving, caring person who is a wonderful friend. I can't imagine my life without her being a part of it. I truly value her friendship.
I say Michell is one of the reasons I'm marrying Bob... when she first met him, she told me not to let him go.
I'm honored that she will be sharing a special place on my wedding day with me!
(As told by the Bride...) Crystal and I met at work, and became friends. Our friendship grew after I became a Mary Kay consultant on her team. Through the years we've shared many laughs and stories, and have grown closer. I can look to her for advice about my personal and professional life, and know that what she says will be heart-felt and true.
She's an incredible person who would do anything for anyone. Her friendship is an added joy in my life. She was truly concerned about my well-being when I told her I was taking a week-long boat trip up north with a guy I had only known for 7 months. She wanted to know where we were going to be and when and how she could get in touch with me. Who knew that 3 years later, I'd be marrying that guy!
She has an adorable son, Carter, and a new baby girl, Morgan Lee, born on May 2.
I am so honored that she will be sharing my special day with me!
(As told by the Bride...) Melissa is another great friend who I met through work. I haven't known her as long as I have the other girls, but I feel like I'm just as close to her. She and Crystal work in the same department, so the 3 of us spend most of our lunchtimes walking (to get in shape -- we have dresses to fit into) or eating together.
She has an awesome (and unique) laugh that definitely puts a smile on your face. She always tries to be positive, and knows the perfect thing to say -- whether you need someone to share your joy or someone to cheer you up.
I am so lucky and honored to be able to call her my friend, and to have her share in my wedding day!
(As told by the Bride...) My sweet niece, Sophia Rose, will serve as our "honorary" flower girl. She will be turning 1 years-old five days before our wedding day. She is such a joy to have in my life, and I love seeing her grow and learn new things.
I'm so excited to have her share in my special day!
(As told by the Bride...) Even though Keith lived in New Orleans when I first met Bob, and now lives in Washington, D.C., I've had the pleasure of spending some time with him on a few occasions. He's a wonderful person. He's welcomed me into the family, with his warm personality. If only he and his fiancee, Kristen, lived closer. I know that the 4 of us would have a lot of fun together. I'm so lucky to be gaining another "brother"! And, I'm so happy that he'll be standing at the alter with us.
(As told by the Bride...) Alex has been one of Bob's best friends since grade school. And, like Keith, lives in Washington, D.C. I've had the pleasure of spending some time with Alex with his wife, Magi, and think the world of them! Alex is a great guy, and we've shared many e-mails talking about "Lost" theories. If only they lived closer too... I'm sure we'd have many fun-filled times with them. I'm excited to have Alex share in our special day (and Magi too!).
(As told by the Bride...) Well, this one is easy to write... I can't begin to say how lucky I am to have a brother like Stephen. Sure, we had our typical "brother-sister fights" growing up... and even into our 20s. But, I've definitely enjoyed having him a part of my life. I was honored to be a part of his special day when he married Sarah. And, I was excited to be there when he welcomed his little girl into the world. I couldn't ask for a better guy to share in my special wedding day than my brother. It means the world to me that he'll be there!
(As told by the Bride...) Yet another one of Bob's "long-distance" friends... Bob met Dave in college at RIT. Dave now lives in Virginia with his wife, Heidi. I've been able to spend some time with Dave on a few occasions... including my very first Jimmy Buffett concert. Dave's a great guy, with a passion for boats -- which is why he and Bob get along so well! I'm excited that Dave and Heidi will be able to share in our special day.
