Ten years ago the idea to create a home for contemporary art and craft from our region started with a small group of people.
Today that idea is becoming an artistic and cultural reality.
A small library above the Island's Port Madison mill store in 1863 was the second community library on Puget Sound. Ladies' society "silver teas" supported small libraries on the island during the first half of the twentieth century. Since 1947, Kitsap Regional Library has supplied books and other materials as well as staff and administrative support for the Bainbridge Library.
PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap advocates, educates, and provides direct services to nurture the bond of companionship between pets and their people, for the health and well-being of both.
The Land Trust is 100% supported by individuals, either through membership or other donations. Becoming a Bainbridge Island Land Trust member provides necessary support for the Land Trust to continue providing services to private landowners, protecting the lands we currently hold and pursuing new acquisitions.
An important part of our mission is helping humans live in harmony with wildlife. This includes providing information about safe and enriching ways to interact with wildlife and ways to avoid wildlife-borne diseases as well as stories about some of our recent patients.
