
While Essex itself only has a few tiny motels, the surrounding area has a variety of places to stay.
There are 3 major types of accomodations:
1. Chain hotels in Danvers and Peabody
2. Independent hotels and inns in Salem
3. Independent bed and breakfasts and inns in Gloucester, Rockport, and the other small towns of Cape Ann

-In downtown Salem, close to all sorts of fun historical touristy stuff, the lovely town green, and the Peabody-Essex Museum
Cons:
-On the pricier side, two night minimum required to stay on saturday night
-Further from the beach with no pool

Pros: This hotel is very cheerful and sits right on route 128 for easy access from Logan airport and the wedding.
Cons: There is nothing to do in Peabody itself, and the beach is a 25 minute drive away
Distance from wedding: 25 minutes

This hotel has an attached water park, making it very kid friendly and somewhat hectic.
Pros: Attached Water Park
Cons: Attached Water Park, nothing else to do in Danvers with a 25 minute drive to any attractions
Distance from wedding: 30 minutes

The oceanside towns of Cape Ann are filled with a variety of independent inns, motels, and bed and breakfasts. These smaller accommodations are a great way to experience New England culture and charm.
Pros: A lot of character, most are directly in towns with a variety of activities including beaches.
Cons: Further from Boston and Logan airport, most have less amenities than a full service hotel.
Distance from Wedding: 5-30 minutes
Rates $70-250/night
Salem is also full of inns and bed and breakfasts that have a lot of personality, and many are in historic homes.
Pros: In downtown Salem with lots of fun things to do (See attractions page).
Cons: Further from the beach and highway.
Distance from wedding: 25 minutes
Rates from $100-200/night
Danvers and Peabody have a variety of less expensive hotels, including Days Inn, Comfort Inn, Springhill Suites, Motel 6, and Hampton inn.
Pros: Inexpensive, Closer to 95, Boston, and Logan Airport
Cons: Not much to do in Danvers and Peabody, 20-25 minute drive to the beach and other activities
Distance from wedding: 25-30 minutes
Rates: $70-120/night
