Our Story
The Story of Taradan
Dan and Taraleigh met for the first time at a Breadbox Band show in Burlington, VT. Dan lived there and Taraleigh was a Breadbox Band Aid. They were the only people at the show that night. Taraleigh had a boyfriend and Dan thought that she was seventeen so they just talked and parted ways.
The two kept on bumping into each other at music festivals and on the Gathering of the Vibes web board. The summer of 2007 the stars aligned and Taraleigh and Dan had their first official date at Camp Creek and they were in love immediatly. They made a pact to stay together for the next 17 years and then they would re-negotiate:) Hahaha.
Taraleigh quickly moved up to Burlington because she couldn't be that far away from her Dan and they have been inseperatable ever since. They rock out all over the country to many bands like Phish, Umphrey's, Moe., Jeff Bujak, Lotus, Disco Biscuits, Zach Deputy, and The Ryan Montbleau Band.
Now they get to make beautiful music together forever...as long as Tara doesn't sing.
The Proposal
Dan had asked Taraleigh's dad if it was ok to marry her one month before he popped the question. He said yes and made Dan promise that he would now be in charge of doing her taxes.
One month later Dan planned a sunset champagne BBQ down at Oakledge Park on Taraleigh's birthday as the perfect time to ask her for her hand in marriage, but at lunchtime that day Dan just "Couldn't wait any longer!" He got down on one knee at the Waterfront in Burlington with part of his sandwich still in his mouth. Taraleigh quickly yelled, "Hell yeah!"
