Thank you to our parents as well as our other family members and friends for their love and support. This day would not have been the same without them, and we were blessed to be able to share in the excitement and joy of our wedding day with each by our side.
Trisha's parents reside in southwest Illinois where Will breeds Beagles and Trudy tends to her chickens and gardens. They are excited and proud to gain Joe as their son-in-law, and are looking forward to visiting Austin for the wedding.
Joe's parents reside in Hurst, Texas, where Nancy is retired, working as a substitute teacher, and Mike works for a company specializing in manufacturing packaging tools and materials. They both spend their leisure time tending to their evergrowing gardens and entertaining local family. They are overjoyed to welcome Trisha into the Finfer brood.
Monica & Trish met about 5 years ago while working at NFP. Monica was in the kitchen and Trish thought Monica was pretty & seemed really nice so she struck up a conversation (something Trish isn't known for doing...). They have been friends ever since!
Monica & Trish share many interests including eating sushi, drinking wine, going to art museums & the theatre - and a deep love of BTVS (Buffy!!!).
One great thing about Monica is her ability to go from being a true 'girly-girl' to 'down & dirty' when need be. This along with her great taste and sensibility are what makes her perfectly suited for the role of MOH.
Laura and Joe met through her husband Chris(Master of Ceremonies) in late 1999. While it took a little while for their friendship to form, their shared sarcasm and dry wit eventually won out.
As an attendee of her wedding, Joe looks forward to having Laura stand next to him on his wedding day. She will hopefully keep him from doing anything too dumb, and be the first to point and laugh should he pass out.
Trish's older brother will be coming in from his home just outside Chicago, IL. He likes to say he, 'taught her everything she knows' - and he would be mostly correct, although Trish likes to think she also taught him a thing or two over the years!
Debbie is Trish's older half-sister on their father's side. When Trish moved to Austin in 1998, Debbie and her husband Matt let Trish live with them. Their generosity and friendship have meant more to Trish than she could ever express, and she is honored to have her sister beside her on this day.
Debbie & Matt have three grown daughters, two grandchildren, and live in Houston, Texas.
Melisa (or "Missy" as she is known to family) is Joe's older sister. After a tumultuous childhood relationship, she and Joe are now close friends, always looking for an excuse to visit one another. Joe is excitied to have his big sister stand with him and share the joy of his wedding day.
Melisa currently lives in Washington, DC.
Liz was tasked with training Trish for her new position at NFP back in 2002, and they have been friends ever since!
Liz is a very talented singer and will be singing a specially selected song during the ceremony.
Lisa & Trish met through work around 2003 and since have shared many holiday parties, birthdays, happy hours, and other events where they have caused trouble.
Lisa is a full-time mom to her 14 year old son, Jake. She also finds the time to create beautiful jewelry and paper products (including many items you will see at the wedding!).
Todd and Joe met in the early '90s at Greene Family Camp, and have been friends for the almost 20 years since.
Todd recently finished his Masters and hopes to be gainfully employed as a teacher very soon.
Mark and Joe met around 7 or 8 years ago. They became good friends over their shared enjoyment of first beer and later bowling.
Mark works at Apple and tends to spend most of his leisure time at the Double M Ranch doing whatever you do on a ranch.
Marty and Trish have been friends since 1999 when they worked for Janus Mutual Funds, and now works with both her & Joe at NFP. In addition to being a talented musician, Marty is also an accomplished runner, biker and triathlon competitor.
As part of the couples house party, Marty will play the congas during the ceremony. He has a BA in Music Studies and a BS in Urban Studies from the University of Texas.
Chris and Joe were forced together on their first day of work in mid-1999. Through their time sharing a desk and computer, a friendship was formed that continues today.
Chris is married to the Best Woman, Laura, and has presided over wedding ceremonies for a number of friends.
Jeff and Trish met in a spin class he taught at Gold's Gym. After months of kicking Trish's butt into shape on the bike, now Jeff will be getting her (and everyone else's) butt's in gear at the wedding!
Joe & Trish are very thankful to have Jeff's friendship and expertise during such an important event. Jeff is a graduate of the Interior Design program at UT, and is a Senior Event Coordinator at Elite Events.
