35 Days to Go
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for visiting our wedding website. We are so excited to be sharing this special time with you all. There are exactly 35 days until our wedding. It is just mind blowing how fast time has flown by. There have been many things to accomplish in regards to our wedding in additional to staying afloat in our daily lives. If you are unaware my fiance The Reverend Malcolm J. Byrd has been appointed the Senior Pastor of the historic Varick Memorial AME Zion Church in Brooklyn, New York. We were both caught off guard (as was everyone else) by this huge change and with it being such a busy times in our lives already were a bit taken back. Blessedly the congregation at Varick has been EXTREMELY supportive (we didn't expect anything different) and we just feel blessed to be a part of our new family. Rev. Byrd was sad to leave his home at Clinton Memorial AME Zion Church in Greenport, New York but we still love, think and pray for everyone in the North Fork and are moving forward on the path God has set forth for us.
Today begins the Labor Day holiday weekend and we will be celebrating the birth date of my fiance. As you all know Rev. Byrd works very hard day in and day out so this weekend we hope to give him a chance to relax a little. Tonight we will have a nice dinner which I have coordinated along with a special event following. On Sunday our caring family at Varick has coordinated a special event for Rev. Byrd after church so we are very excited about that also. As you may know New Yorkers like to have a good time!
On next week we will return to our daily lives of working and continuing preparing for our nuptials but now we will enjoy this day the Lord has made.
Special prayers for: The Obama Family, the people of Georgia, the people touched by Hurricane Fay and Hurricane Gustav, the Andre Young Family, and the congregation of Varick Memorial AME Zion Church.
