Growing up in different places, and our families having lived there for many decades now, led to an inevitable tussle of 'where to have the wedding?'. In the end, logistics dictated the decision, and we have made arrangements for our wedding in Manipal followed by Wedding Receptions in Manipal and Mumbai.

In what looks like a coming-together-of-cultures, the wedding is going to start as a traditional Tamil Iyengar wedding and continue after the Mangalyadharna (tying the sacred thread - (Sharath wanted to describe this as "where the groom ties stuff around the bride's neck!") in the 'aamchi gele' Konkani tradition, including authentic Konkani cuisine.
