Sitted quietly alone near the back of LT5, her eyes filled with zest as she eagerly took down notes in the Biomaterials class. This person was none other than Erin (believe it or not). This was one of Thomas’ first encounters with her. No wonder they say first impression may be deceiving… :)

Thomas and Erin did not know each other until one fine day at the gym, when Thomas’ buddy, Weijie, brought his labmates with him for our weekly gym session (Thomas was actually quite health-conscious back then… :P). Being in the same lab as Weijie, Erin came with the whole gang as well. It was there and then that Thomas exchanged his first words with this “quiet” girl.
“Hello!”…

That’s it! Yes, a less than impressionable greeting but none the less a start; a humble beginning to a blessed relationship that is to come.

“心情溶剂” was marked early in Thomas mental calendar, as it was a date which his dear friend Weijie continuously chanted by the ears. Being a passionate Chinese music lover, Weijie would go around publicizing this never to be missed concert. One of those around him, however, did not take his publicity lightly. Yes, Erin was this kind soul.

22/11/05 - The concert day finally came. It was a good performance but that was not the highlight of the night. Thomas had yet another encounter with Erin! They talked as if they had known each other for a long time… Like old friends…
It did not take long before their friendship grew, which blossomed into affection for each other.

6th of June came. It was a Monday and it was this day that Thomas finally expressed his liking for Erin! At the carpark behind IKEA at Alexandra, can you believe it! Thomas was so glad when Erin agreed in starting a relationship together, despite the not so romantic place. To compensate for that, they spent the evening at Esplanade Bridge, overseeing the Esplanade with Fullerton as the backdrop, a special place which bears an extraordinary meaning to them. The day remained in their hearts as the most beautiful ever.
