David is a good friend of Tiff's from college. He was Tiff's supervisor when she was an RA and later her colleague when Tiff worked at Lewis & Clark after she graduated.

Alex is one of Tiff's best friends from college. Tiff met Alex on a new student backpacking trip and they both majored in biology.

Bonnie was Tiff's mentor in college. Bonnie worked in the Counseling Center at Lewis & Clark for 30 years until she retired in 2008.
