How We Met

How We Met

Tiffany and Bram met through mutual friends, Colin and Melissa McGinley. Colin (originally from Ireland) and Bram have been friends for 20+ years. Colin came to the United States to marry Melissa, who works at the Maryland Renaissance Festival with Tiffany. On Bram's visit on September 1, 2007, he and Tiffany were introduced very briefly when he and Colin came to the festival. Bram and Tiffany each (unbeknownst to the other) pestered Melissa for the other's e-mail address. Tiffany received her first e-mail from Bram on September 17th and, after hundreds of e-mails and countless Skype conversations, they officially met in Amsterdam on November 30, 2007. The rest, as they say, is history!

The Proposal

March 7, 2008
The Proposal

After a lovely dinner in Frederick, Bram suggested going to see the Chapel Tiffany had in mind for the wedding. After poking around for a bit outside the Chapel, Tiffany began to head back to the car where it was warm. Refusing to let her get away, Bram faked a jet-lag stomach ache. Saying he needed to sit down, he instead got on his knee (on the wet grass!) and asked Tiffany to marry him. After a few speachless, sobfilled moments, Tiffany said yes (at least 10 times).
