In no particular order, here are some hotels that are close to the ceremony and reception venues. I also mentioned any pros and/or cons that stood out to me during my brief research... (TJ recomends looking at hotels in Overland Park, Kansas... nice hotels at a cheaper rate. Overland Park is 6min from the ceremony and 14min from the reception.)
Holiday Inn - At The Plaza
Pros:
- free internet access
- free shuttle within a 3 mile radius
- free, gated parking
Cons:
- free continental breakfast is only available Mon-Fri
Kansas City Marriott - Country Club Plaza
Pros:
- wireless internet in guest rooms
Cons:
- onsite parking for $12 USD per day
- does not provide airport shuttle
Embassy Suites Kansas City - Plaza
Pros:
- children's activities and menu
- complimentary breakfast and beverages
- local area transportation
Cons:
- internet access for $9.95 daily
Crowne Plaza - Downtown Kansas City
Pros:
- gated parking
It is also 100% non-smoking... a pro or a con depending on who you are ;)
Best Western - Seville Plaza Kansas City
Another non-smoking hotel.
Pros:
- rooms have free internet access
- complimentary continental breakfast
- free parking
