What a night! This was the event of a lifetime for Todd and Rebecca. A sparkling celebration with hints of brown and blue, a ceremony full of love and laughs, an inspired message, beautiful music, speeches without a trace of the ordinary, a wealth of divine food and timbits to boot, the swing of Alexander Browne and the Aristocrats, special performance by the bride and groom complete with lifts and spins, drinks into the wee hours when the party music took over, the bouquet was tossed and the garter was caught with the stealth and precision of a cobra as a highlight of the night by brother of the bride Jon Codling. Then Todd and Rebecca headed to their honeymoon suite at the Wedgewood for their first taste of wedded sleep!

Talbot & Codling Thanksgiving

This thanksgiving all Codlings and Talbots in the greater Vancouver area came together over frittatas and crepes. Todd and Rebecca introduced their families for some who had never met before. Together they planned the Codlings & Talbots December 22nd weekend getaway, and after brunch everyone headed down to the park for a Bocce Ball Tournament.
Who was there:
John Talbot (Todd's dad) who's inspired idea it was to play Bocce. Guess who won? Yes he did but not without the help of Bocce virtuoso daughter Anna.
Janey (Todd's mom) graciously hosted and Pat Codling (Rebecca's mom) provided the crepes as well as a ride from Richmond for Rebecca's siblings Jon and oldest brother Jason with his wife Angela. Jon, along with Todd's youngest brother Eric, got related over breakfast with matching Mexico vacation stories. And Anna's boyfriend Keith assured Talbot's friend Alison that family dinners ARE ALWAYS this exuberant in the Talbot home!
We're looking forward to our Christmas-time gathering with all of you again! Plus a few others . . .

A Girl's Night Celebration

The ladies had a pampered time celebrating Todd and Rebecca's engagement with manis and pedis.
Rebecca's longest-time friend Rachel Schroeder sat at the nail bar with Cathy Waite and gabbed with Melanie Lahmer-Smith about both being teachers. Along with other school-time chums Sherrill Kroeker and Kate DeRidder, Rebecca enjoyed a parrafin foot treatment and massage. Tammy Morris arrived just in time to get her french mani and pedi before Sherrill brought out the champagne for a toast to the bride to be.
Rebecca appreciates all ways her friends contributed to a fabulous night. Thanks guys!
