Rauma in mid-October will probably be anywhere between 6C (43F) to 15C (60F), depending on the time of day and cloud cover. There will likely be rain on some of the days you are here, though it could just as easily be clear and sunny. 2010 was on the warmer side after a hot summer. This year is shaping up to be pretty warm as well, so we're hoping the pattern holds.

For day-to-day wear, we recommend that everybody prepare for the varying weather by bringing clothing that they can layer -- long-sleeve tees, windbreakers, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. A compact umbrella is always a good thing to have tucked in your bag for these times.

The Saturday ceremony will take place inside a church and the reception will have both indoor and outdoor spaces available. We will judge how to utilize these spaces when we get a better idea of the weather forecast for that weekend. Since the reception will be late afternoon into the night, please select your wedding attire with weather in mind. Gentlemen, you're all in suits anyway so I suppose you don't have to worry too much. Ladies, please consider wearing full-length dresses that will give you appropriate coverage -- we will be waterside and it will get a bit chilly as the evening progresses. Wearing autumn-weight tights under your dress and bringing a warm jacket would be very advisable, if only for walking back to your mode of transportation.

I have found the Rauma Weather Forecast at weather-forecast.com to be very accurate and recommend you take a look at the 9-day outlook when you are packing for your trip.
