Kristin & Tracy

Wedding Party

The Bridal Posse

Cailey Brady

Flower Girl
Cailey Brady

Cailey is the adorable daughter of Dharma and Brit (Cristin and Scott). As you can see our wedding will be a family affair for the Brady Bunch! Some of Cailey’s interests include princess dresses, the colour pink, chapstick, tea parties and reading. She is currently 2 and a half and is already memorizing entire books. She will be 3 by the time of our wedding and may have just taken over the world by then. One thing is certain, however, she has clearly taken over our hearts.

Bradley James Ronald Clark

Bradley James Ronald Clark

We asked Brad to be one of the “Best Men” in this wedding because he is, truly, one of the best men we know. Brad is the member of this group whom I have known for the least amount of time and yet I feel as if I have known him forever. It’s difficult for me to even find words that express how amazing I think he is. Brad and I met at grad school and struggled together through one of the most difficult classes I have ever taken. It didn’t take me long to recognize that there was certainly something special about Brad. He is kind and gracious and loving and adorable and… well I could go on forever! Brad is currently in the process of collecting M.A. degrees in Europe. We are so thrilled that he is going to travel across the world to be with us and we can’t wait to see him!

Dharma Brady

Dharma Brady

I met Dharma nearly a decade ago - back when she was still an underage university freshman named Cristin Shumilak. Although she didn’t stay either of those names for long (at least to us U.C. folk), she’s still as wonderful as she ever was. Dharma and I have had some pretty great adventures together including way too many nights at a bar “with everything but Ralph,” a fantastic summer in Halifax and a very memorable trip to Montreal where the bar had a spinning dance floor (literally). But none of those adventures holds a candle to how amazing it has been to watch her grow into the most incredible wife and mother. Cailey and Brit must be two of the luckiest people in the world. Of course, Tracy and I must also count ourselves amongst the lucky ones – we are so happy that she will be standing with us!

Jaime Gibbons

Bridesmaid- Kristin's Side
Jaime Gibbons

Along with Dharma and Susan, Jaime is one of the amazing girls I was lucky enough to live with on the 3rd floor of UC residence at Laurentian University. Jaime and I have seen each other through a lot of ups and downs including several degrees between the two of us, a broken leg, the addition of some pretty great dogs, multiple hair styles (well that one’s mostly me) and multiple boyfriends (well that one’s mostly Jaime). In the last decade of my life Jaime has been one of my most constant and relied upon friends. She is a true friend, a wonderful aunt, a loving mom to her dog Summer, a great teacher and one of the best bridesmaids a girl could ask for. I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Rishma (a.k.a. Fishma, Dishma, Drawma, Bridesmaidma… well you get the point) Kassam!

Rishma (a.k.a. Fishma, Dishma, Drawma, Bridesmaidma… well you get the point) Kassam!

Rishma is my oldest friend. I was lucky enough to meet her in the ninth grade and she has been making me laugh ever since. At some point in our high school years Rishma asked if she could be my bridesmaid and I told her she could as long as she didn’t mind the sea foam green dress with the puffy sleeves I had picked out for her. This wedding may not be exactly as we imagined back then: I’ve decided to let her off the hook on the sea foam green dress plan and, well, there also won’t be a groom! But no matter what Rishma wears to the wedding, I’m sure she will be one of the smartest, funniest and most entertaining people in the room. I have yet to meet somebody who was able to meet Rish without falling completely in love with her and I am so happy that she’s standing with us!

Susan (a.k.a. The Dolan) Dolan

Susan (a.k.a. The Dolan) Dolan

I hope that everyone in the world is lucky enough to have a friend as loyal, trustworthy, dependable and adventurous as Susan. In the years that have passed since we completed our undergrad degrees Susan has been around the world and back again but has always left me with the impression that she was not very far away if I ever needed her. It baffles me that although she is constantly moving from France, to Spain to South America, and everywhere in between, I actually end up seeing her as much as I do some friends who live less than 100 miles away. I received some great advice about who to ask to be in my wedding party that said: “Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.” Susan is the kind of friend who will be the first one on the bus when you need her, ready with a story to make you laugh and couple of beers snuck away in her purse.

Brit (a.k.a. Scott) Brady

Brit (a.k.a. Scott) Brady

In addition to Brad, Brit will also be one of the “best men” in this wedding. He was an easy choice for the role as he is, without a doubt, one of the best men we know. Brit is the perfect example of what a husband should be and what a father can be. As we prepare to enter into this thing called a marriage we look to the people who have gone before us for inspiration—in his home and in his life we can easily find it.

Tammy (a.k.a. Tam-Tam) Menard

Bridesmaid- Tracy's Side
Tammy (a.k.a. Tam-Tam) Menard

Tammy’s entire family has welcomed me into their (sometimes crazy but always loving) family and I feel extremely lucky to be included. We have known each other for a very long time (and if you don’t believe me just check out my hair in that picture!) Tammy is much more than just a best friend to me. She is my family. And there is no doubt in my mind that we will be hanging out well into our 80s! There is no relationship that could come between us, no fight that could break us up and no bag of fat free chips that we would consider sharing. We’ve made it through bad 80s hair, questionable 90s jeans, crazy diets, terrible first dates, even worse second dates, numerous pets, countless moves, and we’re still going strong. It would be impossible for me to get married without Tam-Tam standing next to me.

Tania Green

Bridesmaid- Tracy's Side
Tania Green

Tania and I go way back. She was first introduced to me in 1974 when our parents brought me home from the hospital and she was forced to share their attention. We have been laughing together, and getting into trouble together, ever since! Tania is currently in the process of becoming a nurse and I have no doubt that she will be a great one. She is also the mother of two of the coolest kids you will ever get a chance to meet. I’m so glad that she and her husband Mike have moved back to Canada so that we can see all four of them so often!

Tina Jamieson

Bridesmaid- Tracy's Side
Tina Jamieson

Tina is the kind of dependable friend that everyone needs. I could call her at 4 AM and say “I’m in trouble. I’m a two hour drive away but I wish you were here.” And all Tina would say is, “what do you want in your coffee? I’m on my way.” She’s also the kind of friend who will cheer you up by coming back from the bar with an entire tray of shots balanced high above the crowd only to break-in her new credit card. I’m so lucky to have her in my life! But, of course, there’s more to Tina than being a tonne of fun. I have been fortunate enough to watch her raise her son Devin over the last decade and I am in complete awe of all she’s done. I’m so glad that she’ll be spending this day with us!

Valerie Habraken

Bridesmaid- Tracy's Side
Valerie Habraken

With Valerie, it was friendship at first sight! Val is one of the newest friends that I have asked to stand with me but I can’t even imagine this day without her. When I met her I knew instantly that we would be friends for a long time to come. And here we are, almost a decade later, and still going strong! Val is an amazing friend, a truly gifted artist, and she plays a pretty mean guitar hero too. Val is the kind of friend who will steal your watch off your wrist, but she’ll also steal your heart if you let her. I have learned a lot about love from Val and am so happy that she will be standing with us.
