Niagara Falls, New York

A popular honeymoon destination for over 100 years, Niagara Falls stuns visitors with its raw power and inspiring scope. Leave the passport at home and forgo the Canadian side of the Falls--staying on the U.S. side gives you equally stunning views without the hassle of international travel. During the winter, the falls partially freeze over for a storybook winter scene. While you might want to skip the expected boat ride on the Maid of the Mist, you can still see Niagara Falls on the nearby observation tower. Don't miss the Illuminations show projected onto the waterfall itself, which is held on select nights throughout the year.
