Rhode Island may be a small state, but, fortunately for wedding planning couples, it has no shortage of excellent options for your special day. Providence, only an hour from Boston and three and a half from New York City, is no exception. Here are just a few of our favorite vendors in the area who are sure to help make your day perfect.

Providence Wedding Venues

Located a half hour from the heart of Providence, on Bristol Harbor, Blithewold Mansion, Gardens, and Arboretum is a venue fit for weddings of any size and style. The 33-acre property is drenched in history and home to a 45-room mansion, heirloom plants and gardens, and panoramic views of Narragansett Bay. Ceremonies here are held in the North Garden, cocktail hours within the mansion itself and along the ocean-view terraces and covered porches, and receptions in a picturesque white tent overlooking the Great Lawn and nearby bay. The Mansion is also available for rehearsal dinners.

Whispering Pines is another Providence wedding venue just a short drive from downtown. This inland location, set on a country estate within a secluded pine forest, makes for a particularly intimate setting for your special day. The slightly smaller venue can accommodate up to 130 guests and, doubling as a conference center, has accommodations and activities available in the event that you and your fiancé are looking to turn your wedding day into a weekend-long celebration. Summer weddings at Whispering Pines are typically held outdoors amid the property’s trees and lakes, but winter weddings are warm and cozy in the site’s charming indoor settings.
