Whether you’re on a tight budget, a short timeline, or simply cherish the close community that a small, cozy, wedding elicits, Houston’s wedding venues have a reception site for you – and we like these three best.
There are buildings with character, and then there are buildings with character. An actual log cabin right in the middle of busy Houston, Rainbow Lodge has stone fireplaces, animal trophies in the dining rooms, and a three-tiered wood deck that overlooks wooded grounds and a creek. The Pullman Room has the best view for receptions, and the landscaped lawn and accompanying stone path are perfect for an outdoor ceremony.
Moments away from Houston’s bustling highways is a private estate and wedding venue with all the personality and adobe-walled charm of traditional Mexican architecture. At Agave Road, a courtyard ceremony in front of the freestanding stone fireplace is a Southwestern girl’s dream come true, and the venue’s service is unmatched.
A private club in the heart of Houston’s downtown, the Petroleum Club is chock-full of elegance and atmosphere. The venue’s ballroom ceilings and chandeliers are lovely, with clean lines and structured style, but even they come in second to the floor-to-ceiling windows and a view of the city from the 43rd floor. We see receptions here very simply: the stars above, the city below – and your reception right in between.
