Planning a wedding, like any large project with a very long timeline, can sometimes be a little bit difficult to get started. Do you begin with the dress? Picking out your wedding rings and theme? Or are you supposed to start with the venue, the caterer, the music? While there’s no set in stone place to start, we do acknowledge that the planning process seems to go most smoothly once a few of the bigger details are taken care of. Which is why, for your Iowa wedding, we’d like to talk about some of the most important vendors you’ll be working with.

Iowa Wedding Venues

Just moments away from Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, the vineyard at Cedar Ridge is far and away one of our favorite Iowa wedding venues. The incredible views across the vineyard are picture perfect, and the vineyard’s event center is temperature controlled (making for a comfortable reception location rain or shine). Outdoor ceremonies are perfectly suited to the lawn, and the terrace shouts cocktail hour on a summer night. The Salisbury House & Gardens is another dreamy wedding location in Iowa, this time with a dose of historic charm and an elegant twist. The mansion is all Tudor architecture and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking.
