Mike & I met while working at Sheldon ISD. He was a computer technician, and I was a teacher. In March 2006, I decided to "go for it" and see if Michael was free over Spring Break. We clicked & have been together ever since!
Mike & I were celebrating our "two year" anniversary. To do so, we decided to go to Salt Grass Steakhouse, where we had our first day. Mike was SO SNEAKY too, because I said, "Do you want to go to the new one in Northshore, or the one in Humble?" He casually says, "Let's go to the one in Humble."
We get to the restaurant, and he goes, "Reservation for Michael" and they take us to the table where we had our first date!!! I'm still not catching on, but I thought that was so sweet.
The waiter asks if we're there for anything "special" and Michael told them NO. I couldn't believe him. We had a wonderful meal, and then the waiter asked if we wanted dessert. I didn't, but Mike said, "Yes, let's have some cheesecake."
We're waiting... and waiting... and then the waiter comes running all from across the restaurant and comes up behind me, which I thought was weird. Then, he puts the plate in front of me -- it says "Marry me." Mike gets down on one knee and tells me, "Baby, I love you very much. I want you to be my wife, will you marry me?" I start crying and get so excited --- I forgot to say YES!! But of course, I did at some point or we wouldn't be here today. :)
