Wedding Accommodations
We reserved blocks of rooms at two different Downtown Historic Savannah, Georgia hotels and at one Pooler, Georgia hotel. The reservations were for the nights of October 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th, but you were not required to use all of these days to receive the rate.
(The Savannah International Airport is located in Pooler, Georgia, approximately twelve miles from Downtown Historic Savannah, Georgia. Also, the 'Friday Night Dinner Event' will be held in Pooler, Georgia, a very short distance from the airport.)
Rates range from $59.95 per night to $129.00 per night.
The individual information for each hotel is listed below, which you will need to book your room(s).
Please note that these rates and reservation are only available through September 15th, 2008, and 15 to 25 rooms have been booked at each location. After September 15th or after all reserved rooms have been reserved, rates will be based on standard availability.
Comfort Suites Historic District
The Comfort Suites Historic District, near River Street, is reserved for you at $129.00 per night, and twenty-five rooms have been blocked (thirteen with two queen-sized beds and twelve with one king-sized bed). When you call to make your reservation, you simply need to state that you are with the "Erickson Wedding Party." This hotel offers free on-site parking and has an indoor pool.

The Thunderbird Inn Historic Savannah is Savannah's classic roadside motel, restored to original splendor with all modern conveniences, amenities, and free parking for their guests.
Originally built in 1964, this Savannah Hotel of Choice has been totally renovated and now features forty-two well designed and stylishly appointed rooms.
Conveniently located on West Oglethorpe Avenue in downtown Savannah, Georgia, the Thunderbird Inn Historic Savannah is just a short walk away from everything in the Historic District including City Market, River Street, and the Civic Center.
Their Front Desk is open 24 hours a day to assist you. Their knowledgeable staff will gladly assist with local information, directions, tour tickets, dinner reservations and more.
This motel does not have a pool.
Travelodge Suites
We have reserved fifteen rooms (eight with two queen-sized beds and seven with one king-sized bed) at The Travelodge Suites Pooler. Rates for Thursday night, the 16th, are $59.95. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night rates are $69.95 per night. Children, age seventeen and under stay free. Please ask to reserve your room(s) from the Erickson Wedding Block, Confirmation Number 64935943.
This hotel has an indoor pool.
The Travelodge Pooler is a AAA approved two-star interior corridor hotel located off I-95 at Exit 102.
They offer their guests a complimentary continental breakfast, wireless hi-speed access, pillow top beds, and microwave/fridges in all rooms.
The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum is within walking distance from the hotel, the Savannah's International Trade and Convention Center as well as Savannah's riverfront and historic district are only fifteen minutes away.
Many restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel.
They welcome pets at $10 per pet per day.

The 412 East Taylor "Pied à Terre" is the 1855 carriage house featured in John Berendt's popular novel, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." The private entrance gate from Taylor Street winds through the garden and around a fountain to the door of the carriage house. Inside the carriage house an antique staircase, with built-in "burglar alarm" described by Berendt, leads to a large bedroom with a view of the garden, a king size bed and sitting area with 27-inch cable TV and VCR, and a full bath. The garden level includes a spacious living room and dining area furnished with antiques, a convertible sofa for extra guests and a 27-inch cable TV, a powder room and a full kitchen with washer and dryer.
