Clary's Café has been a favorite gathering place for Savannahians since 1903, when the famous café used to be a local pharmacy and soda fountain. Still a favorite spot for getting together, Clary's on Abercorn serves breakfast and lunch, seven days a week.

Clary's is the home of great food and lively conversation. But Clary's food speaks for itself!

Each menu item is more delicious than the next!

Start your day in Savannah with any one of Clary's famous breakfast favorites. These include crab cakes benedict (Mark and Trista's very favorite - hands down!), old fashioned sourdough French toast, hot blueberry pancakes, and house specials such as their own homemade corn beef hash or country fried steak. For something a little different, try Clary's country omelets – made with warm apples, cinnamon and cheddar cheese, or our famous Hoppel Poppel scrambled eggs with chunks of kosher salami, potatoes, onions and green peppers – a real taste treat.

If you're not hungry by noon, Clary's lunch and dinner items are sure to make your mouth water. Clary's offers a great variety of fresh salads, sandwiches and Savannah's best flame broiled burgers – made fresh daily (never frozen). Try the basket lunches with a variety of fresh seafood, chicken fingers and the ever popular Gyro Basket.

The Shrimp Factory

The building at 313 East River Street was built during the winter months of the years 1823 through 1826 to serve as a warehouse for cotton, resin, and other products. All of the beams, stones, and brick seen in the building are original. Ceiling beams and rafters are heart-pine from the area and the Savannah-gray bricks were handmade. The top floors were added in 1850.
An advertisement in the April 29, 1848 issue of the Georgian called the attention of "our capitalists" to the building's sale and stated that the property "...contains 150 feet front on the Savannah River and has three commodious brick stores upon it fitted for counting rooms, and as receptacles for Cotton, 3000 bales of which may be conveniently stored therein. The lot is a very central one, and is next adjoining the wharf where Minturn's Cotton Press is situated, which of course, makes it more convenient for vessels taking in freight..."
Today, instead of cotton bales, you will find the locally owned Shrimp Factory. Dining is casual, their famous signature recipes always consistently delicious; served to you in a friendly, professional manner.
