We have made arrangements for blocks of rooms to be reserved at three San Francisco locations: InterContinental Mark Hopkins, Hotel Rex, and Courtyard by Marriott. Please see below for cut-off dates for our negotiated rates. We also recommend one location if you'd like to be nearer the wedding site than the reception site.
NEW!
We originally booked the InterContinental San Francisco, which is being built only one block from our reception site. But we learned recently that the opening date has been set back to March. InterContinental was nice enough to move our hotel block up the hill to the Mark Hopkins, located at 1 Nob Hill--for the same room rate we'd originally negotiated ($229 plus tax). Not only is this a super-luxurious spot, famed for its amazing views, it's also home of the famous Top of the Mark restaurant. For reservations, call the hotel at the number provided and mention the Karys-Campbell wedding. You'll need to book your room no later than Thursday, Jan. 24, to guarantee the negotiated rate.

This little boutique hotel is right on Union Square. We've secured rates of $175 for queen deluxe and $195 for king deluxe rooms. But to get this rate you must reserve on or before December 22, 2007--so don't delay! UPDATE: If you qualify for a senior and/or AAA discount, be sure to ask the reservation assistant to apply them to your hotel rate, and you'll do even better than the group rate we secured.
This hotel is walking distance to many downtown San Francisco attractions. There's valet parking, a Starbucks and a bar and grill in the lobby, a restaurant for breakfast, room service, event catering, indoor pool, a complete fitness room and free high-speed internet. We called them and so far we have 15 rooms reserved, a mix of single-kings and double-queens. Rates Friday-Sunday nights are $189 and $194. If you're coming on Thursday night, the rate (just for that night) is (gadzooks) $259. When you call for reservations, mention the Karys-Campbell wedding for the stated rates. Or, you may reserve your room online at these links set up especially for us (you'll notice the group code is already filled in):
- Single king reservations
- Double queen reservations
Please make your reservation on or before Tuesday, January 22, 2008.
One- and two-bedroom suites in a waterfront setting that's close to our wedding location. It's a 25-minute drive from here to downtown San Francisco, and about a 15-minute drive to San Francisco International Airport (depending on traffic conditions, of course). Suites will be completely renovated by the date of our wedding, so guests will be staying in brand-new rooms. It turns out most of our guests want to stay in San F'rancisco, so we couldn't secure group rates for this occommodation. However, going rates for these suites are quite good, particularly if you plan to get a two-bedroom suite and share costs.
