ogether we create a unique and individual ceremony based on the Bride's and Groom's chosen style, philosophies, personalities, and the specialness of their relationship. Based on the couple's elected style of ceremony, I provide them with materials, including ceremonies, special elements (Unity Candle; Rose Ceremony; Acknowledgement of Thanks and Presentation of Flowers to Parents; Inclusion of Children/Family, etc.). The couples then use these materials, and any other resource they might like, to create a ceremony which speaks of them, who they are, their personal, marital commitment to one another.I
n the end, we put it all together and on their wedding day the Bride and Groom receive a printed copy on parchment, complete with details, to keep for that one day when they may want to renew their vows and repeat the ceremony as it originally was done. I
share with the couple that, although marriage is a solemn event, it can be a fun and expressive time, too; and if requested, I can share examples of what other couples have done to make their ceremony a true reflection of themselves. I've walked up the aisle with a groom to the theme music from "Rocky"; had groomsmen hold up rating cards during the kiss; and a "conservative" bride surprised her new husband with James Brown's "I Feel Good" as their recessional music. T
he inclusion of a couple's children, and their importance in the merging of a family, is often requested as an important part of these special ceremonies. There are many ways of sharing this day together, from the simple expression/special vows, to fully involving them throughout. Together we can find what best suits each unique family in expressing their commitment and their love for one another. C
eremonies are held at the site of your choice, indoors, outdoors, on land or on the Sound. My services cover the Puget Sound region, counties of King, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and Whatcom, and on some occasions have traveled a bit beyond.

Khalil Gibran on the importance of friendship and remembering to do the beautiful, small things that make love a treasure:
"And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and the sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of the little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."
