Typical procedure: contact me to confirm my availability for your date - we schedule an in-person no obligation consultation - an Agreement for Services is signed and a 25% non-refundable deposit is made - a few emails are exchanged to finalize the ceremony - if needed for the rehearsal, I will be there - if not, I arrive about an hour prior to the wedding time to confer and gather the Marriage License and remaining amount of fees - consult with the Maid of Honor and the Best Man to make certain that they have the rings - the ceremony ensues - I usually do not remain for the reception or dinner, but have made occasional exceptions at the request of the wedding couple - while no witnesses are required in Texas, I prefer to have the Maid of Honor and the Best Man sign the Marriage License as witnesses anyway - I keep the Marriage License and mail it back to the County Clerk where it was obtained for recording - within a few weeks the County Clerk sends back the recorded Marriage License to the newlyweds - after all of this, I remember you in my prayers that you will have a life-long, loving and happy marriage.
I always feel honored to be asked to serve as the Officiant for the lovely couples who choose me. May you have the wedding of your dreams and the marriage you have always wanted. God Bless!
