Amphora Bakery was originally created for the purposed of providing freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries for Amphora Restaurant. Indeed between 1977 and 1988, the bakery was housed within the restaurant.
The demand for Amphora's bakery products however was so great, that the Bilidas and Cholakis Families decided to expand the bakery to a separate retail store located adjacent to the Amphora Restaurant in Vienna.
From our modest beginnings, the Bakery today has grown to employ 12 pastry chefs and 2 artisan bread bakers. Amphora specializes in European style cakes and pastries with an emphasis on traditional baking and decorating techniques. The bakery's collection now includes not only delicious cakes and pastries but wedding and special occasion cakes that are works of art.
