Winspear Opera House


The Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, an unparalleled setting, reinvents the conventional opera house form, inverting its closed, hierarchical structure to create a transparent, publicly welcoming series of spaces that wrap around the rich red glass drum of the performance hall.

With two performance chambers and an expansive lobby for special events, this versatile venue offers an array of extraordinary guest experiences.

Event spaces include:

A 21st century reinterpretation of the traditional “horseshoe” opera house, the Margaret McDermott Performance Hall seats 2,200 and features flexible acoustics, and stage and orchestra pit arrangements to accommodate the most dramatic sets and technologically advanced performances of opera, musical theatre, lecture, ballet, and other dance forms.

This acoustically sound recital hall, ideal for intimate performances of music and dance for audiences up to 200, features built-in sound and projection systems. The beautifully appointed Hamon Hall, with an entrance from inside the Winspear Opera House and its separate entrance from Sammons Park, allows the ability to host concurrent performances within the Winspear Opera House.

Wyly Theatre

The Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre is one of the world’s most innovative theatre facilities. The 10-level building features a groundbreaking design with an unprecedented “stacked,” vertically organized facility that completely rethinks the traditional form of theatre.

The flexibility of the facility allows the Wyly Theatre to host a wide range of classical and experimental drama, dance and musical productions, world-renowned vocalists and dance troupes. Unique spaces throughout the many levels of the building provide a variety of dramatic areas to host special events.

One of the most innovative gathering spaces in the world, the Potter Rose Performance Hall is capable of changing its configuration to accommodate any event. From a traditional theatre arrangement to 8,100 square feet of unobstructed flat floor space and everything in between, this venue is a blank canvas limited only by your imagination.

Located on the sixth level of the Wyly Theatre, this versatile space is perfect for private parties, performances or rehearsals. With its black box-style design and flexible configuration, the Studio Theatre and Patron Lounge offer both the intimacy necessary for small-scale productions and open views of the Dallas Arts District that provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop for any event.

One of Dallas’ most unique venue spaces, the Rehearsal Hall on the ninth level serves as the principal rehearsal space for the Dallas Theater Center, a Center resident company. The interior offers 2,000 square feet of event space with plenty of room for small or mid-sized gatherings. The covered Enloe Terrace, decked out in green turf, adds a one-of-a-kind view of the Dallas Arts District and the city’s skyline.

Annette Strauss Square

Strauss Square

Named after the first woman to be elected mayor of Dallas, Annette Strauss Square is a relaxed outdoor performance venue unlike anything else found in the city. Strauss Square has hosted a wide variety of large-scale events including world-famous musicians, yoga sessions, brunches and art installations. With a sweeping lawn, patios, room for both lawn and chair seating and the expansive main stage, Strauss Square is the perfect place to invite 2,000 of your closest friends and family for those larger-than-life events that demand an open-air setting on a grand scale.
