In order to do so, I must care about the people I'm photographing. Creating this connection provides me with such joy! Meeting new people and getting to be part of their lives is one of the most rewarding aspects of what I do. When I started this business two years ago, I never imagined I would form lasting relationships with my clients, but there is nothing better!
I have to be honest, when people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I never said photographer. My answer all those years ago: Marine Biologist. I was obsessed with killer whales (Free Willy changed my life - embarrassing I know!). Needless to say, I've come a long way from being the shy, nerdy girl in the back of the classroom.
When I think back to who I was compared to who I am today, I have no doubt that everything happens for a reason. I wholeheartedly believe every experience in my life has led me to create and succeed in this business! I thank you for taking an interest in my work!
