About Us

Make your wedding memorable; your guests will always remember the location. Our charming historic houses and beautiful grounds give character to your wedding or rehearsal dinner. 


We think that you will love the casual feel of our private property compared to a larger venue although we can still accommodate 150 guests for a wedding and reception.  We want to make this day enjoyable for you and relieve you of stress by having everything set up for you on the day of the wedding without extra charges. Just bring your guest registry, personal accessories and your colors to add to our neutral décor. There are so many of our weddings that do very little, if any, decorating because they feel it's already beautiful the way we have it. We use neutral colors to compliment yours and have two fresh floral arrangements on the buffet and the foyer table as an added contribution to your wedding day.   


Depending upon your budget, we can coordinate and design the wedding you will love and with no headaches, except from making choices. Give us your ideas and we will work this event to your liking, even from another state.  We have hosted many out-of-town weddings down to the smallest detail without ever meeting the bride.  We strongly suggest using our vendors, familiar to our venue.


Alcohol may be brought in with limited allowances at an additional fee of $300 for up to 75 people and $400 for over 75 including the bartender.


For outdoor weddings, we have a “secret garden” surrounded with magnolias, a backdrop of mature trees and a lovely garden border of greenery.  A large white arbor is the focal point and is more open for pictures than a gazebo.  In the event of bad weather, we simply move the wedding inside to the banquet room.      

Included in the rental price is a wedding director, 18 round tables, banquet chairs with white covers, white floor-length linens with white or black toppers, hurricanes with an ivy ring and mirrored tiles or clear vases with crystal pebbles, both with white candles for the table tops, votives and candles, pedestal crystal candleholders, clear glass cylinder vases or silver lanterns and a dance floor and audio system. Outside includes the garden ferns, white wooden garden chairs, shepherds hooks, lanterns, CD player and speakers and the set up of all of these products and a wedding ceremony director.


Your out-of-town guests will appreciate staying in the 3 houses adjacent to the reception site. They are convenient to attend the events without driving in unfamiliar areas and great for families to stay together before and after the wedding, even children and dogs. Weddings are reunions. Sometimes brides rent a house for their wedding party to stay. Our honeymoon suite is a completely separate apartment and can be rented for the dressing room for the ladies. All rooms have private baths, TVs and free WiFi.

If you happen to just want to drive by, be sure to peek in the windows in the banquet room in the back. And the wedding garden is also in the back.  You can drive completely around the house. Most people are amazed at how much better it looks in real life than on the website. 

Wonderful Wedding Weekend Package

An all-inclusive Wonderful Wedding Weekend is also available Friday night Rehearsal Dinner, Saturday Wedding and Reception and the Farewell Brunch on Sunday for the entire 4 houses at Carriage Lane Inn accommodating 40 for 2 nights rest, relaxation and celebration.

This option does include foods but without minister, photographer, cake or alcohol fee $12000

Small Wedding Package

Only Monday through Thursday or Any Day Available Within the Next 2 Months

Book weekdays for a beautiful small wedding and reception.  Using the same facility as our regular weddings and receptions but a smaller time period of 2 hours from arrival to leaving with bubbles, up to 50 people with our cake and sparkling cider, served for toasting, for $1250.  No more than 4 wedding attendants total and you can not bring in alcohol, decorations or other foods.  Add a minister for $200 or bring your own. Our photographer is $400 providing you with a disc of photos.

You can upgrade to a full meal at $25 per person which will include an extra hour.
