For nearly five decades, the historic Smith Tower was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. Today, 93 years after it’s completion, it has been restored to its original glory. The crown jewel of the Smith Tower is the Chinese Room, which occupies the 35th floor of the tower, and the open-air Observation Deck runs on all four sides of the tower, around the Chinese Room. Views are spectacular in every direction and include Seattle’s downtown and waterfront, the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges, Mt. Rainier, and both of Seattle’s stadiums.
The Chinese Room is distinguished by a hand-carved ceiling, hand-carved and lacquered furniture and 17th century works of art, all gifts from the Empress of China in 1907, as well as the famed Wishing Chair.
Ideal for ceremonies and receptions for groups not to exceed 100, this elegant and ultra-private room is a very special place for very special celebrations. Please call us today for more information.
