Our wedding took place in August 2016 at City Winery. Overall, I could not be happier with the experience we had here! The reception was beautiful, the food was exceptional, and the staff was professional and treated our guests great! I was about to sign a contract for another venue the day I went to check out City Winery (I had been here before for several concerts but at the time was not aware they did wedding receptions). I knew as soon as I walked in that this was where I wanted to have my wedding reception. My main desire was that all of our guests could fit into one room, and having large families on both sides and both being from Nashville, it was hard to find another venue that was able to provide for that. Sarah Kelley was the event coordinator we worked with and she always answered my questions with encouragement, excitement, and calmed my worries when I had concerns. She also made things fun! A few concerns we had were that there were a few fees we thought were too much and didn't know if we could work it into our budget. We did make up for this in our our way, budgeting differently in other ways--paying less than we planned for flowers, invitations, and decor--so that may be something others may not be willing to do or part with. I will say, City Winery already has SO much they can offer in-house as far as decor and ambiance. They already have tables, chairs, linens and much more-so you save not having to rent those out. I loved the rustic decor and lighting they already had. They also have so many extra wine barrels and things you can utilize. We had one hiccup during the process, but City Winery worked with us so professionally. We had already had our food tasting with their original chef and were very pleased, but they got a new chef a few months before our wedding--after contracts were signed and menu selections were finalized--so you can imagine my stress level! They provided us another tasting with the new chef and we felt like it was such a blessing in disguise! Chef Garrett Pittler was so down to earth, so fun, and his food was incredible! He took into account the things we had already decided on and still wanted, but the new food selections he offered were even better! Everyone raved about their food, especially the steak. Personally, I loved how fancy and unique it was plated and presented. We had a sit down dinner and I was incredibly impressed with the quality and service for a 300+ reception. We still have people talk about how much fun they had and how they thought it was the perfect venue! I completely agree.
We had our wedding at City Winery about a week ago now, and it was amazing. Everything we could've wanted/expected out of the reception and more! Sarah is the event manager that we worked with, and she made everything so easy. She was extremely organized, responded to questions quickly, and helped us to come up with ideas that went with our general vibe/theme. Her responsiveness and friendliness were two big reasons why we chose City Winery over the other venues we were looking at initially. The others couldn't give us a great idea of how much we'd have to spend to get what we wanted, we needed to calculate everything ourselves. She sent us an estimate within 24 hours and we were off! Sarah was also great at working with the vendors we selected to work with, from the florist to our day of coordinator, she got along with everyone and communicated effectively with them, so there wasn't any confusion. We couldn't have been happier with the way it all came together in the end, and Sarah was a big part of that! Thanks City Winery for an unforgettable night!
