Crystal River Inn

Welcome to our romantic 1883 Victorian inn and garden complex. Twelve rooms in three buildings surround a garden with roses, fountains, and beautiful old pecan trees. The designer rooms have appeared in numerous publications such as Country Inns, Southern Living, and USA Today. Features include fireplaces, canopied beds, luxurious tubs, TV's, phones, sitting rooms, and horsedrawn carriage rides. Breakfasts are headliner events--Eggs Benedict, Bananas Foster crepes, and raspberry French toast. Fun theme getaways include spa packages, romantic escapes, ladies' shopping adventures, river trips, and original murder mysteries. Come along as we dish up some wonderful Hill Country flavor.

Weddings and Events

Because we are so affordable, our specialties are small weddings, economy weddings (although we regularly do huge expensive ones also!), and last-minute weddings. Short notice doesn't bother us…we love it…give us at least two weeks and we can produce miracles. Of course, long lead times are fine too. Whatever you envision, and especially if "stress-free" is your goal, our highly experienced staff can bring to life.

Tiny Romantic Runaway Weddings ~ Under this scenario, we do the entire package for just the two of you and no more than 20 guests, providing everything from minister and music to cake, carriage, and beautiful setting. Staff and guests will witness, along with a garden full of birds and butterflies. Costs vary from $50 to a luxurious $2,500 escape.

Elegantly Simple Larger Weddings ~ The inn's courtyard, gardens, dining and living areas hold up to 200; but we can cater for up to 400 people anywhere in Central Texas. We've been voted "best caterer" and "best place to have a wedding" in Hays Country multiple times. Our indoor-outdoor venue features rose gardens and fountains, plus towering old pecan trees, and a huge brick-floored courtyard area that can be tented, even enclosed and climate-controlled. We use chandeliers and lots of tiny white lights to create a magical feeling in the tent. The adjacent dining room, great for intimate dinners as well as business meetings, has a fireplace, piano, wetbar, and atrium. The inn is beautiful without being stuffy or formal. Our hallmark is casual, comfortable, simple elegance.
