She is known throughout the Hudson Valley and New York region as a leader in the art of beautiful portrait and wedding photography, pictures that are at once sensitive, dynamic and unique.
Cynthia DelConte received a BFA degree from Rutgers University. While attending Rutgers, she received a grant from the New York Historical Society to develop an educational program in the South Bronx using photography as a tool to teach reading to an "at risk" population.
She began her professional career in New York City as an assistant to some of the top advertising photographers of the time. She then operated her own studio in New York with such clients as Bloomingdale's, Avon, Lebhar Friedman, DDB&O, Barnes & Noble, Dance Magazine and Madison Avenue Magazine.
Since 1991, while based in her studio in the Hudson Valley she has specialized in portrait, wedding and dance photography. Cynthia is known for her energetic, positive and relaxed approach to both studio and location photography.
She is also known for her mastery of the "old world" technique of oil painted black & white portrait photography.
