Why do I need a makeup artist on my wedding day?
Your wedding day is the most photographed day of your life. You will see those photos for many years to come and so will your family and friends. It's important to hire a professional makeup artist, just as it's important to hire a professional wedding planner, photographer, baker, florist or hairstylist. A professional makeup artist understands the difference between every day makeup and photo ready makeup and will be able to apply your makeup to last for hours. Will you do a trial run?
Yes! A trial run is a great way for you to see if Danielle is the right makeup artist for you. She does trial run applications in her home studio, by appointment only. It is recommended that you book your trial run at least 4 weeks before your wedding date, but is not required for you to book Danielle as your wedding day makeup artist.
Will you come to me on my wedding day? Is there a travel fee?
Danielle travels all over Louisiana and south Mississippi for weddings and will travel world wide if necessary!
There is no travel fee within East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes. Travel outside those areas will incur a fee, depending on location.
What products do you use?
Danielle uses professional quality, photo ready makeup. Her favorite products are from MAC, Urban Decay and Make Up Forever.
Do you sell the makeup you use?
No. Danielle is happy to recommend products to touch up with on your wedding day, such as lip products or powders, but she does not sell makeup.
How many people can you accommodate on my wedding day?
Danielle can do up to 14 makeup applications on your wedding day. She requires a minimum of 3 applications for on location services or there will be additional fees for fewer applications.
Do you use airbrush makeup?
No. Danielle uses a full coverage, photo ready makeup used by many professionals in the makeup industry. It is non-reflective, long wearing, and light weight, yet covers everything from freckles to tattoos.
How do you ensure sanitary makeup applications?
Danielle uses disposable applicators for all clients and sanitizes all products with 70% isopropyl alcohol and cleans/santizes each brush before all makeup applications.
What do I need to bring on my wedding day?
Danielle provides all makeup, a chair, and lighting for makeup applications on your wedding day. She strongly recommends you purchase a lipstick and gloss to touch up with on your day, as well as oil blotting papers if necessary.
How long will my makeup last?
Danielle uses products that she has tested for longevity and uses application techniques that will ensure your makeup will last throughout your wedding day and evening, though you may have to touch up your lip products.
What do I need to do to book you for my wedding day?
Danielle requires a $75 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied toward your total on your wedding day, and a signed contract.
What forms of payment will you accept?
Danielle accepts personal checks for deposits only. All other payments must be made in cash.
