Born in Cork City in the south of Ireland, Irish photographer David O'Riordan has built a broad portfolio of work covering various aspects of the photographic and media industry. He was educated in Photographic studies in a college in Cork where he worked with a variety of formats ( Large, Medium and 35mm ) and also covered editorial and documentary practices. Other areas included studio practices and color theory. David O'Riordan is a professional photographer with several years of industry knowledge. With a wide background of experience, he has found his own style and earned a reputation as an accomplished photographer in the music industry and also as a documentary photographer. He has seen his work published and exhibited both in Europe and Internationally and provided images for a range of media outlets. Other areas covered have been corporate, event and portrait photography along with his own on-going work such as the exhibited "The City" project, which was shot in black and white and captured a modern European city with echoes of the past throughout the city scape. David over the years has covered various aspects of the photographic industry such as; concerts, weddings, portraits, studio work, fashion shows, landscape, and photo restoration. Some of his past assignments have included photographing over 40 musicians and bands such as; The Frames, The 4 of Us, Paul Brady, Altan and Tim O'Brien.He has also provided images for media outlets such as the Evening Echo, Idaho State Journal, Sky News, Irish Times, Vox Magazine, Motor trader. Recently he has also provided expertise and insights for an online wedding magazine in relation to the photography industry.
