Evelyn Alas Photography

I was formally trained as an artist at the University of Delaware, receiving a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in 2007. My BFA concentration was in photography and obtained a minor in painting as well as art history. Through my work I like to bring out a sense of character from my subjects, whether they are animate or inanimate. Focusing in the little details, environment, light, and texture all help me to describe these characters.

Shooting weddings came naturally; It perfectly fused my passion for shooting people and the environment. I take a photojurnalistic approach when shooting as well as staged, to enhance the moments . Capturing those little moments and details is what focus on. Being creative and keeping it fresh is what I strive for, while maintaining classic and timeless feel.

Evelyn Alas Photography make a great effort to be greener. We use greener laptops, use less paper, and only print out when absolutely necessary. We recycle everything possible. Our company is small and it's only a tiny contribution, but we have a big heart.
