George's Nightclub

After eight months of renovation and an investment of a half million dollars the 5,200 square-foot venue is shining brighter than it ever did in its long history dating back to the early 1920's. Located at 842 Fourth Street in San Rafael’s revitalized downtown area, George’s features plush comfort with two full bars, dance floor, flat-screen TV’s, together with a full size, drop down screen for video projection.The plush 1940's supper club vibe is beautifully evidenced by a piano-shaped stage, cabaret seating, luxurious VIP leather banquettes near the back bar, blue neon lighted George's signs on exposed raw red brick walls and an art deco marquee.

In addition to the aesthetic attributes of George's, the club includes features that will contribute to an evening of increased musical enjoyment and excellence including: a first class sound system once used by the Rolling Stones, high-tech lighting and a new dance floor..

George’s Nightclub is the Bay Area’s premiere, upscale nightclub, bar, and lounge and hopes to provide you with the best inf live entertainment, catering and overall services in an inviting retro setting. George’s “Legendary” moniker traces back to its rich rock history when it was known as Marin’s largest rock nightclub. Back in the 1980’s through 1990’s a who’s-who of legendary rock musicians performed at the venerable institution including The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Carlos Santana, Sammy Hager, Jerry Garcia, Huey Lewis and the News, Chris Isaak, Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge along with the best of local, national and international music artists.
