HA! Photography is also Rebecca Rodriguez (soon to be Knight)! She is the lovely person who answers emails and plays in photoshop.
A few words from Heather:
My mother told me once about a time I went shopping with my aunt. She tells me that I was very excited to go with my purse in hand and ready to leave at any moment. I tried to leave without giving her a kiss. I was three years old. This story reminds me of my independence and willingness to take on new experiences.
I have known that I wanted to become an artist since second grade. I remember feeling hurt when the art teacher did not pick me to make a pot on the potter’s wheel. I think I was the person in class that wanted to learn how to use the potter’s wheel the most but the teacher could not see that yet. I went on to take five pottery classes in high school.
I received my first camera my sophomore year of high school as a birthday gift from my parents. It was a Nikon FM10, a basic manual focus camera. I took that trusty camera on my travels from China to Hungary, then to my first year of college at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
I look at every wedding as an adventure. From the moment you walk down the aisle to your last dance, it’s a new experience for you that I get to capture. I feel honored to do and share what I love with others.
I am a member of WPJA- Wedding Photojournalists Association.
