Serving North Carolina, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee, my aim as a filmmaker is to create a unique record of each wedding. I produce wedding videos in an unobtrusive, documentary style with an eye for professional detail. I use only three-chip, professional grade cameras, so your wedding day's video footage is going to look much better than the images you would record with a consumer brand camcorder. Final videos are made available on DVD.
In keeping with the spirit of the day, I record much of the programmed music of the ceremony and use it throughout the video leading up to the reception. I record some of the music at the reception and then use that as I edit the reception portion of the video. Should the ceremony not have music, or if different music is desired, I can also integrate any music that the bride & groom submit from their personal collection on CD.
Choosing to produce a wedding video is a matter of personal preference. The well produced still photo, like a well made painting, offers the viewer a precise moment from the day's events and retains the essence of mystery in its stillness. Digital video blends both the sights and sounds of the day's events and preserves them in real time.
All projects are shot on professional-grade, three-chip MiniDV cameras and edited with Final Cut Pro. All projects are transferred to DVD and/or MiniDV cassette and can be formatted and uploaded for internet exhibition.
Just as you would never book a photographer without seeing her or his work first, so it should be with the videographer/editor. Please visit www.halcyonpro.com to download and preview my promotion clip or contact me and I will send you a DVD sample.
