Welcome to Sunset Station, San Antonio, Texas – one of the largest historic special event facilities in San Antonio. Just minutes from the River Walk and the Alamo, our restored 10-acre facility and surrounding historic district of St. Paul Square, hosts functions for 20-20,000 guests.

Historic Sunset Station is committed to helping you find the perfect special event venue in San Antonio. Historic Sunset Station was built in 1902 as the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot, nestled in the historic St. Paul District of downtown San Antonio. Sunset Station offers a unique blend of culture, cuisine, and celebration. Sunset Station is designated as a National Historic Landmark. It has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation that restored the venue to its original grandeur.

THE DEPOT, also known as “The Building of 1,000 Lights,” is adorned with ornate vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and a grand staircase. The Depot is comprised of the Historic Southern Pacific Railroad Depot Terminal and three of the original support buildings for the station.

Our venues are designed to hold functions ranging from 20-20,000 guests. Sunset Station is within walking distance from San Antonio's River Walk, Henry B. Gonzales convention center, The Alamo and other downtown attractions.

Parking  - More than 1,000 secure spaces are available for your convenience and easy access to the location. Valet parking is also available upon request.

Four city blocks covering 10 acres in St. Paul Square, just walking distance from Downtown, create a beautiful atmosphere of unforgettable celebration.


The Depot

THE DEPOT, also known as “The Building of 1,000 Lights,” is adorned with ornate vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and a grand staircase. The Depot is comprised of the Historic Southern Pacific Railroad Depot Terminal and three of the original support buildings for the station. 


Depot 3

THE DEPOT 3 offers a modern taste of the city with its decorative flooring and bold, vibrant colors. The two permanent bars are ideal for parties, dinners, or casual after-hour business functions. 


Depot 4

THE DEPOT 4 features two facilities in one. Wooden sliding doors split the structure into North and South sectors. The north presents a permanent bar and the south sector displays a permanent stage platform. 


The Pavilion

THE PAVILION offers a large covered area perfect for a concert, banquet or large meeting. The adjacent Plaza area offers a beautifully landscaped area complete with a fountain.


The Spire

THE SPIRE was built in 1884 as the St. Paul Episcopal Methodist Church and, after a major renovation, opened in 2007 as our newest event space.


The Crown

THE CROWN was an historic three-story hotel during the early 1900’s as well as apartment homes and, in later years, turned into a night club. Today these beautiful renovated rooms, surrounded by a courtyard, are unique venues for meetings and other special events.


The Harrisburg

THE HARRISBURG is in the former Alton Hotel building. Located on the 2nd floor, Harrisburg House offers panoramic views of Sunset Station and features a private, wraparound porch. This versatile and unique venue is ideal for your next day meeting or dinner event.


The Derby

THE DERBY, also located in the former Alton Hotel building, presents a board room setting ideal for strategic planning and brainstorming.
