About Us

My Experience~
As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Poughkeepsie, NY, I spent the first 7 years of my career with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company at numerous hotels, including properties in Laguna Niguel and Rancho Mirage, CA, Boston, MA, Buckhead in Atlanta, GA, and Cleveland, OH, the last as Executive Pastry Chef.

Upon returning to the Twin Cities area, I was the Pastry Chef for the New French Bakery and Cafe and the Minikahda Club prior to starting my own business-Jessica's Cakes for Wedding and Other Celebrations.

I specialize in designing cakes to reflect the taste and style of each couple or celebrant to be a memorable part of their special day.

Cake Fundamentals~
Cakes, fillings and frostings are available in a wide variety. The price of the cake first reflects the choice of filling, then the cakes and finally the frosting and finishing technique. Cakes are priced by the slice, ranging from $4.75 to $8/slice.

Two layers of fillings always fill each cake tier and those fillings can be the same or different depending on the taste of the wedding couple or celebrant. Two flavor combinations within the complete wedding cake are also available for an additional $.10 per serving (i.e. 125 pieces of chocolate and 125 pieces of white cake.)

Delivery and set up are included for cakes within the metro area for 125 people or more. A delivery fee for cakes outside the metro area is based on mileage and/or travel and set up time.
