Within a few years his love and skills in sports photography led him away from newspapers and into full-time freelance photography. Working for clients the likes of USA-TODAY, Golf Digest, The Sporting News, ESPN and Sports Illustrated.
For nearly 15 years Jim's primary client was Sports Illustrated, traveling the country shooting everything from The Masters to the Super Bowl, The World Series, the Final Four, The Olympics and the Daytona 500.
The combination of Jim's love for photography and his success in photo-journalism; his instinctive ability to tell a story through his vision and creative eye, following events from start to finish with his cameras, capturing one-time moments as they happen is what led him to wedding photography.
