Whether you plan to elope and would like a simple brief legal wedding ceremony in my home, your home or in a park -- or are planning a large formal wedding at an exciting venue, I can create and perform with you a meaningful yet non-religious ceremony that reflects your personality and intentions.
Your first plan of action is to contact me to see if I am available for your date, and if so, share the vision you have of your ceremony. We will set up a meeting, if possible. If we find we are a good match, then we will draw up a contract for the service and a 50% deposit will hold the date.
I will then ask some more specific questions to get a more precise idea of your wishes. I can present a draft to you for your approval, via
e-mail, fax, mail or in person, and we can rewrite it until it is perfect for you.
To make things easier for you, I can provide several pre-written wedding scripts or some
"a la carte" ceremony segments to piece together your marriage ceremony. You are also welcome to write your own ceremony or have me write a custom ceremony script from scratch, using elements you suggest. It just depends on what personality you want the ceremony to take.
I can suggest some modern and cultural traditions, such as a Unity Candle Ceremony, Sand Ceremony, Water Ceremony, Hands Ceremony, Hawaiian Lei Exchange, Ceremonies involving Roses, Rocks, Wine, and cultural traditions such Jumping of the Sword & Broom, Breaking of the Glass, etc. You can also tell me about any specific traditions you would like to include. Any props needed for the ceremony would be furnished by you.
Each ceremony includes a keepsake marriage certificate provided by Washington State. For civil unions, vow renewals and other non-legal ceremonies, I provide a keepsake certificate of the occasion.
I will gladly travel to most wedding locations in the Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mukilteo, Everett area, no problem. I can officiate your wedding ceremony anywhere in the State of Washington, even on a boat, but I may have to add a surcharge to cover gas and/or parking for wedding locations more than 25 miles away from my Lynnwood home.
