I have been in the professional disc jockey business for over 20 years. I have been entertaining at wedding receptions and corporate events throughout New England. As a Professional Master of Ceremonies, I conduct all weddings and other events personally.
Will Kevin Whitney be the D.J.?
Absolutely! Unlike many other D.J.'s, I do not contract services out to multiple D.J.'s, therefore do not jeopardize the quality of work for my clients. You can be certain that the D.J. will be only me which gives my clients peace of mind and the quality I am well-known for. I also work personally with my clients multiple times prior to their wedding date to ensure they receive the music selections that are perfect for them. I also discuss all the details of the wedding beforehand in order to customize the reception (introductions, first dance, cake cutting, blessings, etc...) to ensure that the wedding day runs smoothly!
Can we meet with you personally?
Of course. I invite you to my office in Loeminster, MA to view a DVD and meet with me personally. In addition, I like to extend an offer to my future clients to see me perform: You are welcome to stop by a majority of my weddings who allow visitors. Please bear in mind that 80% of my clients take advantage of this option. If this would be of interest to you, please call me in the office at (508) 835-2424 so that we can discuss the availability of "peeking in" on my wedding work.
Do you take breaks?
No, I do not take breaks. This allows a constant flow of music playing from the cocktail hour until the end of the reception.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes, I always have one or two extra systems on site. These systems include amps, CD players, mini disc players, microphones, head phones, batteries, fuses, cables, etc...
Do you use props? (bubble machines, lights, chicken heads....etc...)
No. I do not use props at any time. The focus of the reception will be on your and your guests always.
What do you wear?
I wear a classic black tuxedo to weddings, unless otherwise requested.
"Kevin Whitney is extremely professional. Every event that I have seen him working is a really fun event. Kevin is extremely organized, the lines of communication between all facets of a good event are there. He coordinates everything to get the bride and grooms needs met, working well with the function facility, the photographer, and the videographer. He is very upscale, he isn't your typical fly-by-night or college DJ, he is very professional and someone that you definitely want at an upscale event."
